CASE and Wiki

The reference implementation is built on Sparx Enterprise Architect and Atlassian Confluence. Both tools are widely used by companies around the globe, they are mature enough to be deployed in the enterprise environment and are reasonably priced. On top of that, they both have wide integration possibilities so that it is possible to automate the common tasks through the synchronization middleware.

Enterprise Architect

Enterprise Architect (EA) is a comprehensive analysis and design tool which supports various types of diagrams and modeling notations. It stores all elements and diagrams in the database, which serves as a single data repository and which enables fast searching, filtering, and tracing elements even for big volumes of data.

Confluence

Confluence (CNFL) is a team collaboration software. Unlike Enterprise Architect, which works mainly with objects and models, Confluence excels in creating documents, collaboration, and sharing. Pages are accessible through a web browser, are logically stored in a tree structure, could be connected using hyperlinks, and can reference various content. Confluence has an advance built-in rich text editor, supports versioning, access management, and others.
